How many of you are aware about the upcoming Lenovo Yoga tablet/laptop?

Personally, I am not into tablets, so spending another $600 is kind of useless, however, tablet does have a good purpose during flights, etc.

However, Lenovo managed to eliminate the issue so when you buy a laptop, you also get a tablet

According to Wiki, the Yoga will be released in the second half of 2012 at a price of $1,200, which is a lot. Although I expect competitors to release similar products as well.

I do plan on getting a tablet for Windows 8 development, but maybe not that one. It looks slick, but way too bulky. I would like one that has a flip out 'thing' to protect the screen, but having a full powered laptop is a little too much when looking for a tablet.

A docking station, however, would be great.

I wouldn't buy it, out of the screen's sheer 13" size. It wouldn't be to light, either, so I'd probably go for something more reminiscent on the Transformer line of tablets

That's the word I was looking for! I agree, a little bit too bulky for a 13' tablet with a keyboard!

Agreed, the Transformer is the perfect form factor for Windows 8.

It's almost as if Microsoft built Windows 8 on the basis of this form factor

Agreed. Should be interesting to see if there is much movement to Windows 8 in the corporate world. Tablets make perfect sense. As a developer, I don't see the full screen thing working well for me.

As a consumer, sometimes I don't like the complexities that Windows 8 provides, but they clearly are trying to knock 3 birds out with one stone. Capture consumer support, embrace the business tablet fad, and gain developer support because of Windows' popularity. I ay not agree with everything, but this is the best move Microsoft could have made in the tablet market

As long as there is an easy way to enable/disable Metro vs Start Menu, I'll be happy. I have nothing against Metro, I just think it's too out of place on my dual 28" monitors.

Hmm, I would like to say that you could do that, but my hunch says no, you can't disable Metro. Plus, I've heard dual monitor support for Metro is a bit wonky
