Question About Work Ethics
I am not really sure if ethics is the right word. I've been assigned to organize our company outing for May and this is the 2nd time I have been asked to do an event that involves the who team, so they must have liked what I did for the Christmas party. My only problem is when I organized the Christmas party, I took census of what the team would like to have and some squabbles happened over what pasta to order. So, this time around, I am thinking of just making the decisions about the party without taking census and I will base my choices on the information I got from the Christmas party. My question is is this okay? Would that be considered rude? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

It's always best to ask for opinion but like you said you're the one assigned to organize so you have the privilege to make your own decision. It's not consider rude, you're the organizer so you can do whatever you want.

Thanks. I figured, it may not be that big of a deal or maybe I am worrying over nothing. Those that I work with right now are aggressive sales people used to "getting what they want." You know what I mean? I used to work for bosley - you know, the hair place - and they did not have people as aggressive as with my present company. My current colleagues are fun to be with. They are just very assertive ... lol
