singularity0821 over at XDA Developers has been keeping his battery status app up-to-date, and it is by far the best battery app out there. It features a live tile with the current battery percentage on one side, and a charging/discharging icon on the other. If you click the tile it will launch the full app which gives a lot of details regarding your battery, and you can even log battery data with it if you want to run tests for your phone.
All you need is to unlock your phone and follow the instructions on the app’s thread over XDA.
