In this age of data caps and throttling it’s imperative to know how much data you re using. Some operating systems are even baking data tracking functionality into the OS. Windows Phone is notably bare in this category, so once again Nokia is here to save the day.

Nokia Network Usage will be an app that lets you track how much you use your carrier. This includes phone calls, SMS messages, and data. The app will notify you when you are close to limits, potentially saving you money on overage fees. The app is not yet available, but it should be soon for Nokia devices.

I don’t have a capped plan but I should probably check out an app like this to see if my usage warrants the plan I pay for.
