Leaked Samsung SGH-i687 has IE 10, is a Windows Phone 8 device for AT&T

Joe Fedewa is 23 years old and lives near Lansing, Michigan. He's been interested in technology ever since he got his first flip phone. Since then he's evolved from flip phones to smartphones, and become even more interested in everything from cord cutting to web browsers. Joe is also an avid sports fan and sci-fi movie geek. He's a Joe of all trades.

Not the SGH-i687

It’s usually fairly easy to get some information from Samsung model numbers since the generally follow a pattern. For example, the Focus was model number SGH-i917, and the Focus 2 was SGH-i667, so when something with model number SGH-i687 pops up we expect it to be a Windows Phone.

If the model number mumbo jumbo isn’t enough to convince you, consider the user agent shows it has Internet Explorer 10 on board. As we found out yesterday, IE 10 is the default browser for only WP8. Other than that we know it still has a WVGA screen, but it does seem to have AT&T LTE. We expect many more leaks of this guy before October rolls around.
