We’ve seen several subtle changes from the Windows Phone 8 SDK that was leaked last week. In addition to multiple changes in live tile format, it looks like the tiles themselves are getting an upgrade. New transitions are available that look much smoother than what we currently have in Windows Phone 7. Additionally, it looks like the black circle for notifications has been dropped and instead replaced with a square. Nice to have everything with sharp edges, eh?
What do you think of these changes? Do you prefer the new square versus the circle? I hoped they would do away with this and let more apps feature the standard notifier that we see for mail and messages.
