Huawei has been vocal about joining the Windows Phone 8 party, but we haven’t heard from them recently. Chairman of Devices, Richard Yu, dished about the Ascend W1 on a Chinese social network over the weekend.
The Ascend W1 is is rumored to be Huawei’s mid-range WP8 device. It will launch alongside the high-end Ascend W2. Yu says they are aiming for an end of the year release. Like other WP8 devices, the W1 will come in a variety of colors. The big question is whether or not we’ll see these devices in the U.S.
