Microsoft Surface RT 32 GB version without Touch Cover already sold out, ships again in 3 weeks

It hasn’t even been 24 hours, but the preliminary reports indicate Surface RT pre-orders are going well. Three models went up for pre-order at 9AM PDT time today, and already one is sold out. The 32GB version without Touch Cover ($499) is now listed as shipping “within 3 weeks.” That’s a change from saying “delivery by 10/26″ earlier today.

The 64GB with black Touch Cover ($699) and 32GB with Touch Cover ($599) are still available for October 16th delivery. A few of you were feeling anxious to buy one of these because of this very reason. Did any of you get one before they sold out? Are you more interested in the other versions?

    Apple strategy and I’m not buying it. the strategy or the tablet. not now anyways. pay nearly as much as the iPad and no apps to back it up? maybe that changes a few months down the line, then i will consider it, along with Nokia’s offering.
