There is a bountiful harvest of Twitter apps available for Windows Phone, but one that often gets overlooked is the official app from Twitter. It has a nice simple design, but not as many features as some people would like. Today they have released an update that completely overhauls the look of the app, and adds some more features too.
The new UI has four tabs across the top: home, connect, discover, and me. The home tab is your standard timeline view, but it behaves more like what you would see on the web. This includes the “cards” view when selecting a tweet. Connect shows you mentions and new followers. Discover is for trends and new content on Twitter. Me is for accessing direct messages and updating your profile. The live tiles have been improved as well. You can now pin different accounts, lists, and searches. Check out the video below to see it in action.
