Surface Pro has been a good device for Microsoft. A lot of people consider it to be the perfect Windows device. It’s easy to carry, has a great keyboard, good touchscreen, stylus, and even apps. Sales reports have been scattered, but one thing that can always help is making the device available in more places.
Right now Surface Pro is only available in the US, Canada, and China. Today Microsoft has announced that by the end of May Surface Pro will be available in many more countries. The list includes the UK, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. In June availability will extend to Russia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
It doesn’t take a genius to understand how more countries can help the sales of a device. If Microsoft wants Surface Pro to be the new standard of Windows 8 devices it will need the device to be seen in every nook and cranny of the world. Which brings up a question, have you seen Surface in the wild? Do you own a Surface? Pro? RT?
