Yesterday we wrote about Nokia ditching plans for their 8-inch tablet. Luckily Asus is working on a 8-incher of their own. Mobile Geeks reports that the Asus VivoTab Note 8 is an 8-inch Windows 8 tablet with a few surprises up its sleeve.
The 8-inch 1280 x 800 display will have Wacom digitizer and styus support. This will make it the first 8-inch Windows tablet to support a stylus. We’re not sure if the stylus will be built-in or separate. Other specs include Intel’s latest Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32 or 64GB of storage.

A leaked Microsoft presentation lists this Asus tablet for “holiday 2013” and priced at just $299. It’s likely we will see this device before Christmas, just in time to wrap and stick under the tree. Anyone looking for a Windows tablet with stylus support may want to pick one of these up.
