I definitely feel it to be absurd...besides Google's earlier attempt at chrome OS did not pick up quite well...
and when it comes to the Windows desktops..I very stonily feel that Windows rules....(well if we can forget a few failed attempts)
Interesting article/rumor on Windows 9 today on BGR.
Windows 9 features and release date news expected at Build 2014 | BGR
No, well, not really.
Android won't take over the desktop PC, and the desktop isn't going anywhere. They might have a majority if you count mobile devices, but that is still up in the air as well.
I'd say thats a bit of a long shot. Although a lot can change within 5 years. Just look at the mobile space. 5 years ago, we'd be dreaming of what we have today
If you're saying that Android devices will take over PC usage, I would laugh and say "HAHAHAHA NO." Windows is way too strong to be overtaken by Android tablets. This is bad info
yes that would be insane to think so...but on seeing the report that too in our sister site phandroid.com
IDC: Android Devices to Outpace Windows Devices by 2016
it does feel a bit sad.....but fear not..for our faith in windows will prevail![]()

If Chrome OS could get a foothold or if Android manages to cross into Ultrabook territory, maybe. But the desktop is firmly Windows. And with the introduction of Windows 8, I'm sure Microsoft will find a good home in the tablet area.

yeah it does...but the thing is it would cost very little to create a chromebook rather than a Laptop right...it might hit a blow to Microsoft in developing countries where PC usability is rather limited and the cost factor is quite big....and we have to agree Windows OS is rather heavy...when compared to Chrome OS...
If they can get Steam and Adobe stuff on ChromeOS/Android, I would officially have no need for Windows anymore. By 2016, if that hasn't happened, I would be disappointed.
