It looks like the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft is paying off, at least in the Netherlands. The phone has sold very well there and according to recent data from Statcounter, a massive boost in traffic generated by Windows Phones has been seen in the country.

Data from the mobile operating system was little more than non-existent in the country before the release of the Lumia 800, but it has steadily increased over the past few weeks that the phone has been available in the Dutch market. We’re hoping this trend continues when the Lumia 800 is released in the States, because we’d love to see Microsoft get a bigger piece of the marketshare pie.
