Ask Ziggy Getting Updated, Metro-fied

Ever since Siri debuted with the iPhone 4S, it feels like app developers have been scrambling to make an equivalent for the other major mobile operating systems. Android had the cleverly  named Iris, and now Windows Phone has Ask Ziggy.

When it first debuted, Ask Ziggy had limited functionality, since it wasn’t able to perform basic tasks like check the weather or use maps or geolocation. However, a major update just got pushed out today that sees the app brought more in line with the MetroUI design principles, as well as offering support for other features, including:

  • Weather
  • Time
  • Reminders
  • Maps/Geolocation

The developer has announced that he’s working full time on Ask Ziggy, so we can expect the app to be refined even further in the coming months. The current version of the app can be snagged from the Marketplace by clicking here.
