Windows 8 is drawing closer, as Microsoft has just announced that it’ll be having a Windows 8 launch event in New York on October 25th. The operating system will go on sale October 26th, but according to The Verge, Microsoft could be prepping a midnight launch event for its Surface tablet on October 25th to coincide with the launch of Windows 8. There are no other details about Windows 8 or the launch event as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated.
