Rumors of a Nokia tablet running Windows 8 have been around almost as long as Windows 8 itself. Nothing solid have ever come from those rumors…until now. The device in the photos you see here are allegedly of a Nokia Windows RT device. The device looks similar to Microsoft Surface, minus the kickstand.
The rumored specs for this device are not up to par with 2013 standards. Tegra 3 processor, 2GB of RAM, HDMI-out, one USB port, SIM slot, and of course Windows RT. The person who posted these photos suggests that this is a prototype device, which explains the old specs. We wouldn’t be surprised if Nokia was testing tablets and then decided to ditch the effort after poor Windows RT sales.
The device itself looks nice enough, but so does Microsoft Surface. Windows RT is just a tough sell for a lot of people, no matter who is making the hardware. It would be unwise for Nokia to create a RT tablet at this time. Windows 8, on the other hand, could do well. What do you think about this device?
