The big question ever since Microsoft Surface was announced in two versions has been what will these devices cost? One runs a full version of Windows, while the other runs a special version for ARM. Microsoft said that the devices would be priced competitively, but Lenovo may have just given us a better look at pricing.
David Schmoock, Lenovo’s head of North America, says that Windows RT devices will cost as much as $300 less than their Windows 8 Pro counterparts. He also goes on to say that Win8 Pro devices will be priced around $600-700, which could put Windows RT devices as low as $300. it’s obvious that Microsoft is making a big push to consumers with RT, and these prices will definitely help out in that market.
