Last night in Times Square, NYC there was a rockin’ party going on for Windows 8. Microsoft covered Times Square in ads for Windows 8 and Microsoft Surface, and then later kicked off the sale of both those items with the grand opening of a new Microsoft Store. Our own Rob Jackson was there to witness the event, and get it on video for all of us to enjoy.
At about the 2:40 mark they count down from 8 (see what they did there?) and then the drapes are lowered and you see a Microsoft Store filled with dozens of dancing workers. Microsoft was clearly ready for the huge rush of customers looking to buy a Surface tablet, because we’ve never seen a Microsoft Store with that many workers. Looks like Microsoft had a great night.
