Microsoft has released a new app for Windows Phone 8 devices that allows users to control Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. The new app is called Office Remote, and it’s available now. This app was built-in a joint effort between the Microsoft Research and Office teams to deliver the best possible experiences to presenters and audiences.
Office Remote simply lets you control Office programs remotely from your phone. The classic example for this is changing PowerPoint slides right from your phone instead of being glued to the computer. Other uses include the ability to scroll through Word documents and navigate Excel spreadsheets. Office Remote works for Office 13 (but not RT because it requires a small piece of software).
