Microsoft adds photo timeline to SkyDrive for easier sorting

Microsoft has updated the SkyDrive website with some helpful new features today. With SkyDrive Microsoft wants users to store all of their photos in the cloud, but organizing all of it can be a bit difficult. Microsoft is introducing a new sorting feature to make that much easier.

There is now a new “All photos” view that organizes the photos into a timeline. The date is displayed next to blocks of photos, and you can scroll from top to bottom to go through the timeline. It’s also a really quick way to remember when certain photos were taken. The photos are organized by more than just date. Photos taken a considerable time apart on the same day will also be broken up.

Microsoft is working hard to make the SkyDrive photo experience more fluid and easy. SkyDrive now accepts full resolution photos from Windows Phone 8 devices as well. All of this makes SkyDrive a very good option for SkyDrive. Look for the new timeline view to be rolling out soon.
