Last summer designer Andrew Kim created a new design concept for Microsoft. The concept was a drastic new look for Microsoft, but a lot of people liked it. In the end Microsoft went with something a little less aggressive, but apparently they still took notice of Andrew’s concept.
Andrew just announced that he has been hired by Microsoft. Apparently he was contacted by many companies after his design started getting popular. In the end he decided to go with the very company that he created the concept for. Don’t expect any of Andrew’s designs to start creeping into Windows. Andrew will be working in the Xbox division at Microsoft. Hopefully we see some of his great design ideas show up in the next model.
