Earlier today Nokia unveiled a brand new portable charger with a Lumia-inspired design. The device is officially called DC-18 portable USB charger, but we will be referring to as the Live Tile. As you can see from the square design and battery icon in the center it is very reminiscent of a Windows Phone Live Tile.
The Live Tile comes in four distinct Lumia colors: cyan, white, red, and yellow. It packs a really nifty retractable micro USB cable, and the battery icon actually lights up to show current charge level. The only down side to the Live Tile is that it only holds 1700mAh, so don’t expect to charge multiple devices with it.
Nokia says the estimated price is around 15 euros which equates to about $20. It will be available in June and July for select markets. The Live Tile will go along with Nokia’s other portable charger, the tube-shaped DC-16. Who plans to buy one of these nifty little devices? For $20 you almost can’t go wrong.
