To simply call the HTC HD2 a “phone” is an understatement. It is truly a super phone. Not because of specs or horsepower, but because of immortality. The HD2 has quite literally ran every OS imaginable at some time or another. Now it is even breaking out of the mobile world and running operating systems meant for tablet computers.
The photo above is an HTC HD2 running Windows RT, the same OS that runs on Microsoft Surface. How is this possible? Because it’s an HD2, and apparently everything is possible with a HD2. We don’t know how well it works, but the proof of concept is there. The HD2 originally ran lowly Windows Mobile 6.5, but now hackers have given it new life. There isn’t a step-by-step guide to doing this yet, but with a little digging we’re sure you’ll find out.
