Last week the fabled Nokia phablet finally got a name, or at least a codename. It’s known internally as the “Bandit,” but we knew it would eventually come with a standard Lumia name. Today @evleaks, the same person who leaked the Bandit name, has tweeted the retail name will be Lumia 1520.
We’re not even going to try to understand how Nokia decides what numbers go with what phone. It seems to us that the 900 series is the standard flagship, 1000 series could be for the big camera phones, and maybe 1500 series will be for phablets. Name aside, the rumored specs for the Lumia 1520 are impressive.
- 6-inch 1080p display
- quad-core processor
- “no less than 20MP” camera
- GDR3
Those specs alone should impress even an Android user. The Lumia 1520 is said to be announced next month. Who is ready for a Windows Phone phablet?
