Nokia phones are no longer made in Finland

Did you know Nokia used to actually make phones in their home country of Finland? That’s a crazy thought for most of us here in the US used to seeing “Made in China” on all our products, but Nokia used to do it. The company is in a tough financial situation right now, so unfortunately the home cooking has come to an end.

The last Nokia plant located in Finland manufactured their last phone on Wednesday. Plans to close the factory have been finalized. 780 people will lose their jobs. Like many other tech companies, Nokia has moved manufacturing to Asia. But hey, Finland still has Angry Birds.
