If you’re a fan of exploration and world-building games we have some good news for you. Terraria revealed today on their Facebook page that they are launching an iOS app tomorrow, and Android and Windows Phone versions “to follow soon.” Terraria is a very popular game on Steam and also Xbox 360 Arcade.
Terraria is similar to Minecraft in gameplay and style, except that it’s in 2D. The mobile version promises dozens of environments and over 75 foes, creatures, and bosses. They have redesigned the controls to work on a touch-only display. The iOS version will cost $4.99, so we should expect the same on Windows Phone. It’s also possible that it will be an Xbox Live title.
